Checkout one of the local auction houses in your area for a great source of products to re-sell on eBay. I have to warn you though . . . it can be highly addictive! I usually attend at least one auction during the week and one on the weekend. And I just happened upon this great source last year when a new auction house opened near my house.

In my last post,  I mentioned that until further notice, my local Goodwill’s were not giving the 50% discounts on purchases.  Well, I think they heard me!  🙂  When I went thrifting last weekend, the girl’s at the store were telling me that they were no longer offering discounts on numbered “days” however, they were offering 50% off on numbered “weeks” and some other type of discounting for senior citizens day.  WOO HOO! Told ya they listened!  😉

I went to my local Goodwill yesterday and was shocked when I checked out. Apparently, the thrift stores are trying to cut corners just like the rest of us. I had been receiving a 10% discount on purchases and was told by the cashier that they no longer were honoring those electric co-op member discounts or any other discount.

Do you shop at your local thrift store?  Stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army, just to name a few, are a treasure trove of vintage clothing, furniture and collectibles.  You can find fabulous gently used clothing at low prices for you and your family.  And you just never know when you’ll be flipping through the rack of clothes, do a double-take and grab that designer label item before someone else sees it.
